This week the Republican Permanent Political Aristocracy reached a new low, race-baiting & fear mongering to get Democrats to vote for corrupt and ineffective septuagenarian Thad Cochran over his Conservative challenger Chris McDaniel in their Republican primary. If the GOP fails to capture the Senate in November, you can look back at June 24th as the moment they jumped the shark. Enlisting your political enemies to ward off an insurgent challenge is not a clever strategy - it's lying and cheating - a breach of trust that will undoubtedly cause many Conservatives to stay home in the fall. This kind of treachery leads us to ask "how much longer can a party survive when its leadership is inexorably against the ethos of its base?"
 
The hits in the IRS scandal just keep coming, but before I go there, if you haven't seen Trey Gowdy's take down of IRS commissioner John Koskinen you have to watch this video. Paul Ryan blasted him for lying, as well. Then Rep. Steve Stockman introduced "The Dog Ate My Tax Receipts Act", saying that the IRS "must allow taxpayers the same lame excuses for missing documentation that the IRS itself is currently proffering." Finally, Reps Louie Gomert & Bill Flores offered a $1M bounty for the lost LL emails.

At some point, it's hard not to laugh. This week we found out that hard drives of 6 more IRS employees involved in the scandal crashed. That just weeks after the crash, as the Tea Party targeting investigation began, the IRS cancelled a long-standing contract with an email storage firm, cutting off that avenue of possible recovery. How Convenient! Any wonder why 76% of Americans believe the emails were deliberately destroyed. Check out this article by Lori Lowenthal Marcus showing why the IRS had a legal obligation to preserve these "lost" emails. But since when did the Obama Regime give a rat's @$$ about the law? But don't worry, Cry-baby-Boehner  will fix them - yesterday he announced a pathetic & feckless plan to sue Obama over his lawlessness.

The Man Who Broke The Middle East told Congress that they were blindsided for the 9th time about the ISIS Jihadi Menace, even as we get word that for a year the White House ignored repeated intelligence community warnings and Kurdish offers to stop ISIS.  As emboldened ISIS threatens the U.S., regime Muslim Brotherhood fan, Mohamed Elibiary cheered on the "inevitability of a Global Caliphate" & Israeli PM Netanyahu urged a hands off approach to the crisis, saying "when your enemies are fighting one another, don't strengthen either one of them."
