   A Democrat and a Socialist win in Indiana. Sounds like the start of a bad joke, doesn't it? Only I'm not laughing. Congratulations, Trumpkins, you now have your Celebrity Apprentice GOP nominee. After the blowout in IN, Ted Cruz is officially done and, for me, his exit was the final death knell for the Tea Party Movement, as well. 
   Although I supported him, this has never been about Cruz so much as the things he stands for. This fight has always been about restoring our Republic, beating back the Left and securing the rights and liberties of the American people. Ted Cruz was merely a vehicle. In the end, the goal for me has always been the return of small, republican government rooted in our Constitution.
   Let's be honest here. The options in November will be a Democrat, a Democrat, or a third party candidate. Our choice will be between a far left Big Government Democrat or a Liberal, Crony-Capitalist, Big Government Democrat. Neither wants to reduce the size of government. Neither will do a damn thing to rein in the pending collapse of our unfunded entitlements. Both plan to raise taxes on an already over-burdened citizenry. Both want to grant legal status to millions of illegal aliens.
   If he stands for anything, Donald Trump does not stand for the ideals I believe in & he will never represent me. When the choice is between two reprehensible, corrupt, and immoral demagogues, you can always pick the ethical way out and say none of the above. Sometimes there is no lesser of two evils.  I did not spend countless thousands of dollars and hours campaigning, protesting, marching on Washington, etc., to end up with a Liberal NY Conman as my standard bearer.
   As Popeye said, "that's all I can stands, I can't stands no more." And so, I'm done. Politics is a fool's game of frustration and futility for people of principle in a society mostly devoid of it. Back in March I almost quit, but there was still a small chance that the Constitutional Conservative might beat the Carnival Barker. But now that chance is gone and so am I. 
   While I intend to remain friends with the many amazing Patriots I've met over the last 8 years, for my own sanity, I must completely disengage. It's too painful watching the country I love go to shit and realizing that so few people in the TPM actually believed in the Constitution, free markets and fiscal sanity that we were supposedly fighting for. This is the end of the line for "flag-shirt-guy" and this weekly commentary. Pray for our children and our country.
